Does This Sound Familiar?

You have a nice digital camera, but you’re afraid to pick it up. It’s all so overwhelming – the buttons, the dials, the photography terms that sound like a foreign language.

You see amazing photos online and wish you could take pictures like that, but it feels too daunting and time-consuming to even start.

You search online for tutorials and advice but end up feeling paralyzed, not knowing where to start or what to do next, or whether the advice you’re getting is sound.

So you keep your camera in auto mode, or just use your camera phone. It’s easier that way, but your pictures never capture the beauty you see in your mind’s eye. I believe it can be different.

I believe you can master your digital camera and confidently capture beautiful memories.

Ever wish someone could show you how to use your camera step-by-step and be there to answer your questions?

Yes?  Then you’re in the right place!

Imagine…

feeling confident every time you pick up your camera and knowing exactly how to dial in your settings

capturing gorgeous photos you feel proud of and love to share

having the shooting process broken down for you in simple language step by step so you don’t have to struggle with holding all the information in your head

receiving personal guidance and helpful, constructive feedback on your images (each time the course opens to a limited number of students so you can receive personalized help as you learn!)

having a positive and supportive place to go to get your photography questions answered without judgement for being new

Introducing Love Your Photos 101

The digital photography course for beginners that will get you shooting confidently in manual mode.

“I’ve always wanted to learn how to use my camera in manual mode, but every time I tried to learn myself, I would give up. The information I’d find was confusing and overwhelming. I was hesitant to spend the money on Brea’s course for fear it would be the same.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that Love Your Photos 101 is broken down into small, easy to understand steps.

The videos were especially helpful to me as a visual learner. By watching the setup videos, I was able to quickly find the settings on my camera and make the right adjustments.

The demonstration videos helped me grasp the exposure triangle as Brea took pictures and discussed what settings she used and why.  She also includes some great visuals to help you remember the information.

Brea was so helpful during the course! She gave me great input and encouraged me along the way. She critiqued some of my photos and helped me see where I could improve.”

-Heidi, Love Your Photos 101 Student

Heidi put everything she learned in Love Your Photos 101 into practice, and she’s gone from taking snapshots in auto mode…

…to taking control of her camera settings and capturing beautiful memories she’s proud to share!

“I found that Love Your Photos 101 was broken up in a way that was manageable, so I could feel success at each point.  Going through the exercises helped me to see how much I was learning.  It was good to see my own progress.

Since taking the course I’ve grown in my confidence to use my camera.  I’ve used it more since the course and it was in my closet for years.

And all those confusing photography terms are no longer a mystery to me.

Now I understand them!”

-Erica, Love Your Photos 101 Student

I’m Brea, and I’ve been where you are.

I bought a great camera before my kids were born in hopes of capturing amazing photos.  But my photos were a huge disappointment.  I tried to learn photography but it felt too overwhelming.  I fumbled with my camera settings and was afraid of missing moments, so more often than not, I reverted to auto mode.

But the turning point came when I slowed down and decided to learn the basics before hoping to take great photos of my kids.  While they napped, I practiced my camera skills for about 10 minutes per day, without the pressure of trying to capture a “perfect moment.”

Each time I practiced I got a little better, and before long it all clicked!  My photos went from flat, boring snapshots to the beautiful works of art I always wanted to make.

I love helping others confidently capture beautiful memories with their digital cameras.
